Volunteer Interests and Skills

Wolf Tracks needs many different kinds of volunteers. You do not need to enter a wolfdog enclosure or have previous wolfdog experience to make a meaningful contribution. Please check all areas in which you would be interested and able to help.

Please list 1–2 people who can speak to your reliability, work ethic, relevant professional skills, or experience with animals.

Agreements & Signature

Working directly with a wolfdog requires time, consistency, trust, sound judgment, and a genuine relationship with the individual animal. New volunteers generally begin with smaller, lower-risk projects outside the enclosures while learning Wolf Tracks procedures and allowing the animals to become familiar with them.

Direct contact with wolfdogs is never guaranteed. Staff determines when and whether a volunteer is ready for direct interaction based on experience, reliability, judgment, training, demonstrated understanding of safety procedures, and the volunteer's relationship with the individual animal.

Any direct interaction must occur only with staff authorization and under the level of supervision determined appropriate by Wolf Tracks. Safety and the welfare of both animals and people always come first.

By accepting a volunteer position, you acknowledge that working around wolfdogs involves inherent risks and potentially dangerous situations. Volunteers must follow all Wolf Tracks safety protocols, training, instructions, and staff direction.
