- Oliver, the calmest, brings a serene presence to the pack.
- Cheyenne, aptly named after her mom, is known for stealing food and hearts alike.

Persephone
Born: January 2025
Hades and Persephone, two seven-month-old Siberian Huskies, arrived at our sanctuary on July 20th after being transported from a Florida shelter. Both were owner surrenders and, upon intake, were so fearful and unsocialized that shelter staff had to use control poles to handle them. Neither had received their rabies vaccinations due to their extreme nervousness. Their paperwork described them as scared, avoidant, and potentially needing separation from other dogs. There was even initial speculation that they might have some wolfdog heritage (10-20%), which we plan to confirm with DNA testing.
Since arriving, they've been transformed remarkably. In the right environment, with patience and care, both have blossomed into social, playful dogs. They reside in a front enclosure where they can interact with sanctuary visitors. We've also carefully introduced them to other dogs, including both domestic breeds and some of our well-socialized wolfdog puppies. The results have been fantastic; they are thriving in the company of others and demonstrating remarkable progress.

Dallas
Born: November 13, 2024
Meet Dallas, our newest sanctuary resident. This timid two-year-old female arrived from Memphis Animal Services on July 25th, weighing in at 56 pounds. She was at large but was later discovered she and the other two had a home, they would enter through a broken window and had disparaging living conditions. They were removed and placed in our care. The shelter had little information about her past, just a simple plea on her paperwork: "Get to know me." Brought to us as a suspected wolfdog, Dallas is heartworm positive and understandably fearful of human interaction. While she remains very cautious, there's a glimmer of hope in her eyes. She's slowly starting to warm up to my husband during feeding time, venturing a little closer with each passing day. We're committed to earning her trust and helping her overcome her fear, and we're excited to see her personality blossom as we get to know her better and begin the process of socialization and rehabilitation.

Lucy
Born: June 12, 2023
Joining Dallas from Memphis is Lily Anne, another wolfdog who arrived at our sanctuary facing similar challenges. While she shares Dallas's initial timidity and behavioral issues, Lily Anne has shown slightly more confidence, following me around her enclosure and even accepting food from my husband's hand. All three dogs are currently on a strict raw meat diet to promote their overall health and well-being. We're dedicated to providing them with the patience, care, and positive reinforcement they need to overcome their anxieties and flourish in their new environment. We’re eager to continue working with Lily Anne Buddy and Dallas, helping them to become more comfortable and confident as we embark on their socialization journey.

Buddy
Born: June 12, 2023
Completing the trio from Memphis is Buddy, a two-year-old male who, like Dallas and Lily Anne, was found running at large. Weighing in at around 49 pounds, Buddy also arrived under medical care at the Memphis shelter. All three are suspected wolfdogs, and we plan to conduct DNA testing to determine their wolf content. While initially fearful, Buddy exhibits a compelling blend of caution and curiosity. He clearly wants to interact but seems held back by some unseen barrier. We’re committed to gently working with him to break through this hesitancy and unlock his full potential. Of the three, Buddy seems a potentially strong candidate for eventual adoption, particularly given his interest in connection. However, we recognize that the road to adoption will be long and require considerable effort, focusing on behavioral analysis and dedicated socialization.
We are grateful for the joy and unique stories each of our animals brings into our lives!
